addon to browse DeviantWatch lists

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 23, 2007, 10:00 AM
type: browser addon (I tested it on firefox, but it works on others)

Yesterday I was browsing DeviantArt and went to the "deviantwatch" section. I don't visit the site often so I had like 40 new deviations to check. Right after I saw that huge list I thought "a text list? I would like to see the thumbnails like in the front page" but for deviantwatch, that's a paid feature.
Browsing for a firefox extension that could help me I found this "Cooliris Preview" addon. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but it did the trick. I browsed that huge list in a smooth way.
Basically it displays a floating box inside the tab you're on, showing the link you're hovering onto with the mouse. Once you've seen the pic, you can hover your mouse on the next item and it will automatically display it on the already opened box. You can also browse the displayed page inside the box as if it was a firefox tab. You can change the way it opens the links trough its options.

So give it a try if you have huge lists of links that you want to peek or browse without overpopulating your tab bar (I get lost in those, haha).

Edit: Oh f*ck!!! it automatically shows the actual image file if you hover over a google image thumbnail :D

New to DA

Hi, I'm fairly new to Deviant Art, I can believe how cool the site is, it has like everything and so it's organized. Neat! This is the first time I've tried it as a user.

I have a comic at drunkduck ([link]) but I wanted a place to post my random drawings and pictures and this place seems perfect for that. But... is it? :o dun dun dun

Talking about comments, well I always try to comment as much as I can and give my opinion/support to other users mostly because interacting is one of the most inspiring things I've experienced as an artist, but I don't mind talking about anything really. Well I think I blabbed enough, haha.
